It was a throwback to the old José Mourinho days at Stamford Bridge after that team came away with a hardfought 2-1 victory against Aston Villa. These are the kind of games that decide the league titles. Antonio Luna’s own goal gave Chelsea the lead, although credit should be given to Eden Hazard. However, Aston Villa equalised just at half-time through Christian Benteke to give a scare for Chelsea. Branislav Ivanovic’s second-half header, though, restored Chelsea’s lead and also gave three points after the end of a very difficult match.
