Chelsea managed a 0-0 draw with Manchester United in a game that promised a lot before kick-off. Jose Mourinho went with an unusual team line-up with no recognised striker up front, but the move never paid dividends, as Chelsea had to hold out for a draw. The result means that Chelsea are undefeated after three matches in the season, but they have lost a great opportunity to open a six-point advantage over Manchester City and Manchester United. United threatened a lot, but they were unable to find the opening goal due to excellent defending from Chelsea’s back four.
United manager David Moyes is yet to taste victory at Old Trafford in his managerial career.
