Brazilian star Ramires once again dismisses transfer speculation

Chelsea Ramires Real Madrid transfer rumours 2013

Chelsea’s Brazilian star Ramires has once again dismissed rumours about joining Real Madrid or Barcelona. He has been subjected to transfer rumours linking him with a £15 million (yes, it is 15 and not 50) to Real Madrid. He confirmed a few weeks ago that he wants to stay at Chelsea. Now, he has reaffirmed the same.

He said to Lancenet that he does not know the source of such rumours. He said:

“Many people are asking about the supposed interest from other clubs in my football but I don’t know anything, apart from what was reported in press.

“I am under contract with Chelsea and my attention resides solely in keeping on doing the good job done at the club.”

There is no reason for Chelsea to sell the player now and especially for £15 million (having bought him for £18 million). Ramires, whose contract runs until 2017, is on his way to becoming an important player for the Brazilian national team.

Our former manager Luiz Felipe Scolari appears to have finally found a way to integrate Ramires into the team. He is now playing as one of the three midfielders in 4-3-3 formation. He is excelling in this role and could be one of the first names on the squad for World Cup 2014.
