Chelsea star Eden Hazard has subtly hinted that he may stay at Chelsea, for now. There have been rumours linking Hazard with a move to PSG, but the star says that he feels happy with his life, form, and club.
The Belgian scored the first hat-trick of his Chelsea career in the 3-0 win over Newcastle United on Saturday. However, there is a feeling amongst the Stamford Bridge faithful that he still can improve even further.
Speaking to the club’s official site, he said:
“I’m happy in life, I’m happy with my football and I’m happy at this club.”
Hazard contributed immensely last season as well, but he is playing a more important role now. He has added more goals to his game, while he is also becoming dependable as well. After going past his last season’s tally of 13 goals, he is well on course to reach at least 20 for the season. He continued:
“I’ve played a lot of very good games in my Chelsea career. The last against Man City was very good as well and it was a great performance on my part against Newcastle, but the whole team did well from the first to the last minute.
“I am in good form now, lots of nice things are happening and I hope to continue like this.”
Despite the hat-trick against Newcastle, his performance against Sunderland – where he scored two goals – remains as one of the finest individual performances in the Barclays Premier League.
After helping Chelsea go top of the table, the 23-year-old things that we can stay there.
“At the moment we are playing well and picking up plenty of points. We are first in the table now and we hope we can stay there until the end of the season.”
This is a busy moment with the match every two days. West Brom are up next, while the Champions League encounter with Galatasaray (and the reunion with Didier Drogba) is not too far off either. Chelsea can take a lot of confidence into these matches, especially with a player like Hazard in our hands.
