Chelsea 1-3 Atletico Madrid 2014: Highlights and Reaction

Chelsea suffered yet another exit at the Champions League semi-final stage after losing 3-1 to Atletico Madrid at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday night. This was the first defeat suffered by the blues at Stamford Bridge in the semi-final stage.

Fernando Torres looked to have put Chelsea in the third Champions League final, but Atletico Madrid came back with purpose and scored three goals to knock Chelsea out of the competition.  

Adrian Lopez, Diego Costa, and Arda Turan were all on the scoresheet for the Spaniards, as they reached their first Champions League final.

Chelsea will now be hoping to win the Premier League in order to prevent a trophyless campaign. The blues host Norwich at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.

  1. Yes,we start again next season,Mourinho will be lucky with Chelsea one day and very soon and it will be emotional when he will win it with chelsea.that semi final barrier will be gone forever. Its ok,we accept defeat,some had bowed out ever since. My take is that this Chelsea team is not yet a complete team,we shall continue to build until its perfect.Give Chelsea and Mourinho that City team if he will not win it all. Anyway next season is already here.
