Chelsea star Eden Hazard has dismissed transfer speculation linking him with Paris St Germain. PSG manager Laurent Blanc stated a few days ago that he would like to have the 23-year-old in his team.
Hazard has responded by saying that rumours about his future are certainly not new to him. He is right now concentrating only on the World Cup.
“If you got to know me you’d know I’m not someone who is disturbed by it. Every year they say I’m everywhere. It’s part of the job. I focus on the World Cup which is much more important than what is said in the papers.”
Hazard still has three years left on his £150,000 per week contract. A few months ago, it was speculated that Chelsea were ready to offer him a new deal after seeing his incredible progress.
Talks are yet to go into advanced stages, but Hazard’s latest comments hints that his future lies with Chelsea.
It is rumoured that Hazard’s new contract will see him on more than £200,000 a week.
Chelsea, meanwhile, are looking to raid PSG with an offer for striker Lavezzi, who may be available for around £15 million. Due to the pressure from UEFA, PSG need to sell a few players in order to raise the money for more new signings.
