Chelsea youngster Thorgan Hazard’s father has claimed that the player will consider offers from Liverpool and Everton in the summer. Liverpool are rumoured to be interested in the player and are ready to make a £6 million offer.
Eden Hazard’s younger brother, Thorgan Hazard, joined the club at the same time as his more popular brother. However, he was immediately loaned out to Belgian outfit Zulte Waregem, where he has been playing for the last two seasons, in the hope of helping him get some experience.
Despite this, he may not get an opportunity (like many other youngsters) to play for Chelsea. Hence, his father, Thierry, says that the player is prepared to look elsewhere for his chances. According to ESPN, his father said:
“We will take our time to assess all the offers and see which feels best for Thorgan.”
The loan move has worked to delight for all parties, as Thorgan Hazard has been one of the finest players in the league. He started out with four goals in 37 appearances in his debut campaign. This season, though, he has been quite impressive with 15 goals in 48 matches. Even though it is the Belgian league where the standards are not comparable with that of the English Premier League, Mourinho is thought to have taken note of his progress.
Mourinho was recently seen in the stands watching Thorgan Hazard places last game for Zulte Waregem. There have been rumours that Thorgan Hazard will be given a chance to impress in the pre-season tour.
The player himself says that he was not worried about Mourinho being in the stands to watch his performance. He said:
“He had nothing to do with it. I wanted to win, for the group and the fans.”
