Paul Pogba’s agent says that his client will not be joining Chelsea or Real Madrid in the summer, as he wants to stay at Juventus.
The Juventus midfielder has been linked with a £60 million move to Chelsea. It may have seen like an extraordinary transfer figure for the 21-year-old, but Pogba is one of the exciting youngsters involved football right now. There isn’t smoke without fire and several media reports in England claimed about this mega-offer.
Agent Mino Raiola, though, stated that Pogba will remain at Juventus in the near future. He said:
“We have decided not to speak of the transfer market with regards to Paul until after the World Cup. But I can calmly say that his future will still be at Juventus, where he feels very happy.”
After helping Juventus win the third successive league title, Pogba has played a huge role in France reaching the last 16 of the World Cup. An all-round midfielder, Pogba is a much better version of John obi Mikel.
Talk of a £60 million transfer fee may worry from Chelsea fans, but a bigger worry is the possibility that he will not join us this summer. Real Madrid are also interested in the former Manchester United midfielder.
He still has only two years left on his contract, but Juventus chief executive Giuseppe Marotta has stated that the club wants to extend the deal.
Chelsea have already signed Cesc Fabregas for £28 million, while the likes of Diego Costa and Filipe Luis are expected to follow suit for £50 million.
