Chelsea icon Dennis Wise claims that Eden Hazard is starting to display his world-class abilities on a more regular basis. Hazard has long been regarded as a potential for the Ballon d’Or award. The Belgian international came to Chelsea in 2012 for £35 million and he quickly elevated himself to one of the top players in the Premier League. While he has managed accolades like the PFA Player of the Year, Hazard has been unable to lift the ultimate crown –Ballon d’Or award.
After having seen him contribute two more goals in the game against West Brom, our former captain Dennis Wise is the latest to speak in favour of the winger. Hazard has taken his league tally to 15 and looks set to improve on this tally with his ever-improving performances. Wise said:
“He has been like a one-man band at stages. Especially, last night you see how fantastic he was with his two goals.
“He creates things that other players can’t create. I think he is world class and it is up to him what he wants to do with himself, whether he wants to take himself to that next level.
“Only time will tell I think but some of the things he can do with a football are quite frightening.”
The growth of Hazard does present Chelsea with a major problem in the transfer market, as Real Madrid have been constantly linked with a move for the 27-year-old. Even if he is expected to cost in excess of £100 million, the Spanish outfit may be ready to pay the fees, as Hazard is one of the few players in the world capable of replacing Cristiano Ronaldo. Betfair, which can be accessed using the Betfair promo code, reckons there is a strong possibility for Hazard to sign for Real Madrid in the summer.
The Belgian’s contract runs out in the summer of 2020 and discussions over a potential deal have not been progressing smoothly as expected. As the summer approaches, the future of Hazard will be the most discussed element. It is highly likely that Chelsea may be held for a huge ransom, if the situation does not change at Real Madrid. Zinedine Zidane is thought to be a huge fan of Hazard, but the interest from Madrid could decrease if the Frenchman is sacked before the end of the campaign.
Antonio Conte has been credited with rediscovering Hazard, as the Italian has certainly reduced the defensive workload on the player. Previously, Jose Mourinho expected Hazard to work at both ends of the pitch. Now, however, Hazard is purely being utilised to help the team score goals. Even when the rest of the field has not been playing at their best for a considerable period of time, Hazard has been single-handedly carrying the team on his shoulders.
