Are Chelsea becoming a selling club? Just days after confirmation that Cole, Ballack and Belletti would be leaving the club, it has also been announced that Miroslav Stoch would also be leaving the club. He joins Fenerbahce on a 4 year contract after Chelsea agreed an undisclosed fee.
Stoch made his Chelsea debut against Arsenal when then manager, Scolari gave him the chance to impress in the last 10 minutes. His most impressive game though was against Stoke when he played a massive role to ensure a Chelsea win.
This season saw him go out on loan to FC Twente. That turned out to be a hugely positive for him having ended up winning the league with a team that had not won anything before. He was an integral part of Steve McLaren’s side scoring 12 goals in the
process.
After Cole’s departure from the club, Stoch was a similar kind of player who could have developed into a great player. But as it is, Carlo Ancelotti and the club think that he is not going to achieve that status.
From the club’s perspective though, one of the major factors in Chelsea winning the title was the squad strength. But now with 4 players already confirmed to be leaving and none in a position of joining, serious questions can be raised. But still there is 3 months to go to sign players and fans can be certainly optimistic that there will be some.
Chelsea FC True Blue wishes him for his future.
