On a night of extraordinary drama, Chelsea managed to go second in the table after a 2-1 win over Manchester City. Fernando Torres scored one and set up the other in an excellent performance. Andre Schurrle scored his first goal for the club after converting a great ball across the goal by Torres. Sergio Aguero scored just after half-time to equalise, and it looked like City were going to take a point from the match.
Torres persistence paid off in the 90th minute, as he capitalized on an error from the City defence to score his first league goal of 2013.
