Norwich vs Chelsea
Carrow Road
Barclays Premier League
Sunday 6 Oct 2013, 13:30 (London time)
Chelsea’s fourth consecutive away match in all competitions will see us take on Norwich at Carrow Road. The international break after this match makes 3 points more than essential since it would be nice to spend the next 15 days with a positive mentality. After struggling in the Premier League since the opening weekend, Norwich have picked up two victories in the last four matches. Scoring goals has been their primary problem after managing only four goals in the six league matches until now.

After very poor form in the early weeks of September, Chelsea finally appear to be coming good at just the right stage. Unbeaten in the last four matches, Chelsea’s defence have conceded just one goal in these matches.
Team news:
Marco van Ginkel and Fernando Torres are definitely ruled out. Eden Hazard is in doubt and will be assessed just before the match. Apart from that, Chelsea have a fully fit squad. Hazard’s injury is unlikely to trouble Mourinho’s in selection after a good performance from Andre Schurrle in the Champions League. After playing two consecutive 90 minutes of football, Lampard may be rested in favour of Mikel.
Elliott Bennett is the only confirmed the player to miss out for Norwich. The likes of Nathan Redmond, Sebastien Bassong, and Javier Garrido are rated as doubtful. Former Celtic striker Gary Hooper, who was in great form for the Scottish club, could start ahead of Ricky van Wolfswinkel.
