Kevin De Bruyne was once again absent from Chelsea’s squad that won 3-0 against West Ham on Saturday. The Belgian international has been heavily linked with a move in January. A number of German clubs have expressed their interest in the 22-year-old. Werder Bremen have been one among them and they have once again stated that they would like to take the player on a loan deal in January.
De Bruyne is no stranger to Werder Bremen after having played for them last season (once again on loan from Chelsea). He was impressive even managed to win the Bundesliga Young Player of the Year award. According to Sky Sports, Werder’s general manager Thomas Eichin told Kreiszeitung Syke:
“His (Kevin de Bruyne’s) player agent is aware of our interest in his services. I will be getting to know if there is a chance to re-sign Kevin de Bruyne on loan for our club.
“If this is possible, we will have to wait and see if such a deal can be really worked out.
“Everyone at Werder Bremen knows all about the quality of Kevin de Bruyne.”
Atletico Madrid recently entered into the race as well, but a move to Werder Bremen may be best suited for all parties.
Eden Hazard recently said that De Bruyne should consider leaving Chelsea in order to be part of the Belgian team at the World Cup 2014.
I hope journalists should stop using the phrase “out of favour”, on any player. Out of the current Chelsea “regulars”, who should be benched for Kevin? Again, it is in his own interest he leaves on loan in January.
De bruyne should leave cheasea.
