Here’s Why Lewis Baker Should Be in Chelsea’s “Weakened” Team against Liverpool

There have been plenty of discussions about Chelsea’s weakened team for Sunday’s visit to Anfield. Jose Mourinho, if he is not playing any mind games on this occasion, is expected to pick a couple of Chelsea U-21 players for the starting eleven. Players like Nathan Ake and Tomas Kalas could feature if that is the case. However, Mourinho should seriously consider using an exciting prospect from the reserves – Lewis Baker.

The 18-year-old made his debut in the FA Cup against Derby earlier in the season.

Hard-core Chelsea fans will certainly be aware of him and his capabilities. For those who don’t, he just scored a wonderful goal against Arsenal U21s. If the same had been scored by Lionel Messi, people would have been talking about it for weeks. It is the turn of Baker to receive the same praise. Let’s hope he makes it into the Chelsea team for the Liverpool match.

The goal also reminds us of legend Gianfranco Zola, who scored in a similar fashion against Norwich in 2002.
