Chelsea’s season is on the brink of getting over with several weeks still left in the campaign after the blues suffered a 3-1 defeat against PSG in the Champions League quarter-finals. Apart from a period of about 30 minutes in the first half, Chelsea allowed themselves to be dominated by a brilliant PSG team. For long periods of the match, it looked like Eden Hazard’s penalty would give Chelsea a significant advantage for the return leg.
However, an own goal from David Luiz and a late effort from Javier Pastore turned the game around. The 3-1 defeat puts Chelsea on the brink of exit from the competition. Yet, there still remains hope after we managed to win the competition after suffering a similar first leg defeat against Napoli in 2012.
