Chelsea travel to Turf Moor to face Burnley in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon and could make it three consecutive wins in all competitions if they pick up all three points. Mauricio Pochettino’s side are favourites as they’re in much better form and haven’t lost to the Clarets since 2017.
Burnley have struggled this season and are desperate for a result to haul themselves from the relegation zone. They’ve struggled for goals while conceding too many at the other end, however, so the Blues will fancy their chances.
Chelsea finally hitting some form

Chelsea are 11th in the league with eight points from seven games this season. The Blues have had a less-than-impressive start to the campaign but are beginning to turn things around.
Pochettino’s men beat Brighton in the EFL Cup last month and saw past Fulham in the league a week later, so they’re chasing a rare treble of victories.
Chelsea are coming off the back of two wins and a draw from their last five league outings, on top three clean sheets, so Burnley won’t underestimate them.
Porous Burnley have bad head-to-head record

The Clarets are seven places and four points worse off in the table than Chelsea, losing five of seven games. Vincent Kompany’s men have lost 100% of their games at Turf Moor, scoring just three goals and conceding 12 from four matches, so it’s little surprise why they’re underdogs.
Burnley beat Luton Town in their last match but are still second for most defeats and most goals conceded. The Clarets have a bad head-to-head record against the Blues too, losing seven and draw two of their last nine meetings. Burnley have beaten the Blues only once in 15 years and have been well-beaten by all but two Premier League clubs this season, so their chances of a result appear slim.
