Chelsea vs Atletico Madrid
| Stamford Bridge, London | 30th April, 2014 | 19:45 GMT |
Chelsea will be hoping to reach the third Champions League final in their history when they take on Atletico Madrid at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday night.
The blues will be without a number of key players for this encounter. The last time Atletico Madrid came to Stamford Bridge, the match ended in a 4-0 win for Chelsea. This time around, the match is expected to be much more difficult.
Chelsea were extremely defensive in the first leg, but Mourinho’s team rarely play like that at home. This will be looking to attack, but with a certain level of caution because if Atletico get an away goal, then we have to score twice.
Early Team News:
José Mourinho has received a major boost with the possible return of John Terry, Eden Hazard, and Samuel Eto’o. All these three players were involved in today’s training session – along with Petr Cech – ahead of the match. Even though he took part in training, Cech looks unlikely to take part in the match.
Eto’o and Hazard could play, but most probably a substitute.
The la Liga leaders will be without midfielder star Gabi, who is suspended after picking up a yellow card in the first leg.
Possible Team Line-ups:
Up Chelsea! The pride of England.
Chelsea can make the difference again.
