Chelsea have issued an injury update ahead of their Premier League meeting with West Ham United. Per Kieran Horn of Football.London, Levi Colwill and Christopher Nkunku could face the Hammers after returning to training with the first-team.
Thiago Silva and Axel Disasi both missed Chelsea’s 2-0 win over Tottenham Hotspur due to injury but might return too. Malo Gusto and Raheem Sterling missed a few games in recent weeks but could be back if Mauricio Pochettino deems them fit enough.
What’s the latest on Colwill?

The 21-year-old has made 32 appearances across the board in 2023/24, scoring one goal with one assist. He was a regular for Chelsea until picking up a toe injury in May, keeping him out of action for two months.
Colwill is back in training though, so he could return if deemed fit enough. It comes at a good time as Chelsea are short on centre-backs with Silva and Disasi missing the last game.
What’s the latest on Nkunku?

The 26-year-old has made 10 appearances in all competitions this season, scoring two goals. Nkunku has endured an injury-hit campaign at Chelsea, spending more time on the treatment table than the pitch, but he could be back on Sunday afternoon.
Nkunku was out with a knee injury until December, taking weeks to improve his fitness as he wasn’t 100% despite being injury-free. The French international then spent two months out with a hamstring injury between March and May, but he’s back in training now.
Pochettino won’t want to risk an injury setback by rushing Nkunku back too soon, but the 26-year-old might feature against the Hammers.
Could any other players return against West Ham?

Thiago Silva and Malo Gusto aren’t expected to feature against West Ham. Matt Law of Sportsmole says Disasi and Sterling have a slim chance of returning, however.
Chelsea posted an injury update ahead of their Tottenham clash days ago which revealed that Wesley Fofana, Romeo Lavia, Ben Chilwell, Enzo Fernandez, Carney Chukwuemeka and Robert Sanchez are still completing their rehabilitation, so their situation isn’t expected to change this weekend.
