Chelsea welcome Brentford to Stamford Bridge on Saturday afternoon and are favourites to pick up all three points.
The Blues are coming off the back of three wins and a draw from their last four in all competitions. Mauricio Pochettino’s men nearly beat Arsenal over the weekend but for two defensive mix-ups, so they’ll be full of confidence.
Chelsea should fancy themselves against Brentford

Brentford ended their winless run in the league with a comprehensive victory over Burnley, but their away form needs work. The Bees have struggled on the road this season, failing to win in two months, so they’re major underdogs.
Thomas Frank’s men are currently 14th in the table with 10 points from nine games. Brentford had a decent start to the season with wins over Fulham and Newport (in the EFL Cup) while drawing with Tottenham, Crystal Palace and Bournemouth, but they’ve since spiralled.
The Bees suffered three defeats on the bounce to Newcastle, Everton and Arsenal before drawing to Nottingham Forest and losing to Manchester United, so they weren’t in great shape before the Burnley clash.
August’s win at Fulham is Brentford’s only victory on the road, so a rejuvenated Chelsea will sense blood.
Mauricio Pochettino’s men firing on all cylinders

Chelsea are 10th in the table with 12 points from nine games, amassing seven points from their last three outings. The Blues spurned a 2-0 lead against Arsenal to draw 2-2 but will take so many positives from the performance. Chelsea are unbeaten in four across the board, winning one and drawing one in their last two home games.
Brentford have beaten Chelsea at Stamford Bridge twice in the last two seasons, but Saturday should be different. Pochettino’s men have been much-improved from the start of the campaign, so Chelsea could exact some revenge. Their injury list is finally dwindling too, so Pochettino can name stronger starting elevens as weeks go by.
