Chelsea have been handed a very tough draw in the fifth round of the FA Cup 2013-14 season. An away trip to the Etihad stadium to play Manchester City awaits Chelsea following the 1-0 win over Stoke City in the fourth round.
Facing City at home should be a daunting task for Jose Mourinho’s team, as Manuel Pellegrini’s men have been rather outstanding at home. The Premier League encounter between the two teams on February 4 will now as a precursor to this clash.
Manchester city vs Chelsea is not the only standout fixture of this round, as Arsenal take on Liverpool at the Emirates.
Since Manchester United are already eliminated from the competition, Chelsea may stand a very good chance of winning the competition if we are to progress from the fifth round.
Full draw:
Manchester City v Chelsea
Arsenal v Liverpool
Sheffield United or Fulham v Nottingham Forest or Preston North End
Sheffield Wednesday v Charlton Athletic
Brighton & Hove Albion v Hull City
Sunderland v Southampton
Cardiff City v Wigan Athletic
Everton v Swansea City
