Fernando Torres is still being criticised by many after his record £50 million move from Liverpool back in 2011. However, his critics can have no complaints with the finish to the season the former Athletico Madrid striker has had. It is tough to win a Champions League title, but Torres has completed the astonishing treble of a FA Cup, Champions League, and the European Championship all in one season – and so has Mata.
Torres also has the European Golden Boot award, which is incredible considering that he was largely used as a substitute by Spain coach Vicente del Bosque.

Along with Mata, you have a front three capable of providing a lot of ammunition for Torres.
“I had lost some of my love for being at work. Being picked for Spain had become a habit. Now it is a prize again,” said Fernando Torres only a few weeks back. Fast forward to the 2nd of July, and Torres has just won the Golden Boot Award at the Euro 2012.
“I have won my first titles at club level this season, the FA Cup and the Champions League. Now I have this EURO as well, which is beyond anything we could have imagined,” says Torres after the 4-0 win over Italy in the Euro 2012 final.
