‘I love London’– that’s the statement of the former Chelsea manager José Mourinho in what is regarded as a clear indication that he is ready to return to Stamford Bridge. Seven years have passed since Mourinho’s acrimonious exit from Chelsea. Over the years, there have been managers – Guus Hiddink – with better win percentage than Mourinho, while there have also been managers – Roberto di Matteo – who have lifted a more valuable than a league title.
However, there have been none who can be called as the ‘Special One’.
According to the Express, José is closer to sealing a memorable return. He is reported to have verbally agreed a three-year contract with Chelsea.
Mourinho lasted more than any other manager at Chelsea under Roman Abramovich. He is also the most successful in terms of the number of trophies won. After infuriating most of the Chelsea fans with the signing of Benitez, it is now time for the Russian owner to please; and there can be no better way than by bringing the most celebrated manager in Chelsea’s history.

“I am in London very often because we have a house here, we love it here and our daughter is coming to study in London.
“I have big emotional connections with Chelsea and one day I think naturally I have to be back to English football or to Chelsea or to another club.
“One day I have to be back.”[/quote]
Mourinho is widely expected to leave Real Madrid at the end of the season after falling out with his own players and the Spanish media.
Mourinho was everything you looked for in a manager – tactical awareness, media shrewdness, and love for the fans. It was not surprising that Mourinho achieved success before and after Chelsea.
The big question now, though, will be whether he will be able to repeat the success once again.
History has shown us that managers are not successful in their second spells at a club. Kevin Keegan at Newcastle is a name that immediately springs to mind.
Hence, should Chelsea fans be sceptical about a former hero returning or should they be overjoyed? Give us your opinions.
I love chelseafc 4 life.
Up Chelsea.
