After several weeks of mind games, Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho decided to go quiet ahead of the weekend’s match with Everton. Mourinho has been involved in mind games with Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini and Arsene Wenger. He has seen success and failure during this period with Chelsea managing to win an important league fixture against City at the Etihad stadium.
However, it seems that failures like the inability to win against West Brom and the FA Cup exit against City appear to have prompted this move.
Jose kept avoiding questions by offering little for the journalists to build on. He said: “I don’t react. The table is there. You can look at the table and see how the table is.
“My Champions League starts Wednesday. I play Wednesday and I concentrate on that.”

Mourinho was even open to commenting about the Man City vs Barcelona clash. He stated that City had a chance against the Spanish giants, but he was made to eat ‘humble pie’ especially after Cesc Fabregas’ comments after their 2-0 win.
Aside from confirming that John Terry is once again available for selection, Mourinho had little else to say to the press. He declined to comment on issues like Wayne Rooney close to agreeing a new contract with Manchester United and the upcoming clash with Galatasaray.
Everton have been one of the teams to beat us this campaign, but Mourinho says that he will not look at the past. He is confident that Chelsea can end a poor run, which has seen us win only two of the last five matches.
