Trevoh Chalobah could be on his way out of Chelsea in January if reports are to be believed. The 24-year-old has spent the season on the sidelines due to injury and wants out of Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea have an eye on Financial Fair Play, so they’re expected to cash in on out-of-favour players. Rumours suggest Todd Boehly is operating on a sell-to-buy policy to adhere to the Premier League’s profit and sustainability rules.
Growing Serie A interest in Chalobah

According to Alfredo Pedulla, AC Milan and Napoli are battling for Chalobah’s signature. The former England U21 international has been offered to both Serie A clubs, but other clubs are swarming too. Simon Jones of the Daily Mail says Fulham, Bayern Munich, AS Roma and Tottenham are also interested.
Chalobah wouldn’t have to move house if he joined Fulham, and Tottenham isn’t too far away in North London either. Bayern recently signed Eric Dier, so it remains to be seen if they need Chalobah too. Roma are looking for a new manager after sacking Jose Mourinho, so their business might be put on hold.
The 24-year-old has played in France earlier in his career, but it’s a big call going to Milan and Napoli.
Injury killed Chelsea career

Chalobah has yet to make an appearance this season as he’s been out with a hamstring injury. The 24-year-old is expected to return in late-January, but it doesn’t appear he will feature for the Blues again.
Chalobah finds himself behind Levi Colwill, Axel Disasi, Benoît Badiashile and Thiago Silva in the pecking order, so the writing is on the wall. The Englishman has made 63 appearances in all competitions for Chelsea but is a victim of bad luck.
Chalobah featured 33 times last season but has become a forgotten man while on the treatment table. The last time he turned out for Chelsea was all the way back in April 2023 – nine months ago.
How much could Chelsea make from selling Chalobah?

Chalobah rose through the youth ranks to Chelsea’s first-team, so he might an inflated asking price. Nizaar Kinsella of the London Evening Standard said in August that the 24-year-old was valued at £50m. Kinsella said in November that Chalobah was worth £25m, however, so time will tell how much he goes for.
With the centre-back having four years remaining on his contract, Chelsea hold all the cards in negotiations.
