Victor Moses had a fantastic debut season after coming from Wigan for £9 million in the summer of 2012. He made 43 appearances in all competitions and scored 10 goals. This was a healthy return from a player, who does not appear to have reached his best yet. This season he was expected to be a key member of the Chelsea team especially because his attributes suit the type of player Jose Mourinho likes.
Yet, the Nigerian international has become the odd man out after the signing of Willian. There has been talk of him joining Everton on a season-long loan deal. Former Wigan manager Roberto Martinez, under whom Moses flourished at Wigan, is currently the manager at Goodison Park. West Brom manager Steve Clarke, though, appears to be in the pole position.
“I exchanged text messages with Jose three or four weeks ago and he said Lukaku is definitely not going out.
“He said he was a big player for Chelsea this season and I think he’s right.
“I believe Moses is available to come out (on loan) and he is a player we would be interested in. I can’t say I’m confident of landing any player because time is short and I’m getting a little bit nervous.” – Clarke to Express and Star.
Clarke worked as the assistant manager for Mourinho in the Portuguese’s first spell at the club. Now, he is hoping to use those connections to sign Moses. Clarke had a lot of success with Romelu Lukaku last season. West Brom only recently brought in former Chelsea winger Scott Sinclair on a loan deal from Manchester City.
Chelsea chief executive Ron Gourlay did admit recently that a couple of players could leave on loan deals before the transfer window closes.
Moses could have done really well this season, but it seems that Mourinho doesn’t share the same opinion.

I never thought I could say I will miss Bob Bradley. But the US nantoial team is going backwards. Klinsmann just doesn’t seem to have it. The team plays with very little interest, like at half speed. The players are very static, no runs, no passes to open spaces we are going nowhere with Klinsmann. I don’t think he can even select the right players, he plays them in the wrong spot many times and I keep hearing that he is putting a new system. Well how many years does it take for a professional player to learn a new system?. Here comes Jamaica, with no a system, but with players that have the desire to win and want to go to Brazil. Oh, I missing Bradley (at least he can pick players and put a team)
